Verifone Cloud POS is EMV-ready. Are you?

Verifone Cloud POS is EMV-ready. Are you?

It's important to note that fraud liability shifted to merchants that have not implemented an EMV structure. Beginning on October 1st 2015, the merchant, not the issuing bank, will be liable for counterfeit card transactions if the merchant receives a fraudulent EMV bank card but has not installed an EMV-capable device.

Why EMV is a smarter payment choice

  • Robust verification protects against lost and stolen cards
  • Embedded chip reduces risk of fraud from stolen account numbers and cloned cards
  • Fewer chargebacks with EMV’s card-present proof
  • Helps foster the adoption and integration of other payment technologies, such as NFC

Verifone Cloud POS delivers EMV readiness with the VX 805

Verifone Cloud POS bundles include the VX 805 PIN pad, delivering reliability, usability and next-generation NFC capabilities, all with EMV Level 1 and Level 2 certification. The VX 805 allows merchants to process a variety of transactions, including credit, PIN based debit, EMV-based chip cards and contactless payments, with rock-solid reliability.
